The Room: Office Essentials
The anatomy of a home office is so much more than just a desk and a laptop. Your workspace should be treated with more importance than anywhere else in your home. Creating a stylish space can actually boost your mood and make you a more efficient employee. Beyond having a comfortable place to sit and work, consider your surroundings. A well-lit space is imperative, as well as adding elements that bring you joy. While it’s a good idea to keep your workspace clean and free from clutter, you can add a few accessories that hold personal meaning. For instance, a vision board or a trinket from your last adventure can help motivate you to work hard and play hard! Wall art is a great way to elevate your space while still maintaining a minimalist atmosphere. Choose a print that puts a smile on your face and puts a pep in your step. Motivational wall art is a great way to give yourself an extra boost of confidence.
Pro Tip: Beyond Office Wall Art
ElephantStock's interior design expert Elimar Lobo Sáenz shares her advice for how to approach home office decor:
“[Your home office décor] should be simple but significant. Hide everything but the essentials with a storage unit that matches your personality. Be creative! This will help create a peaceful and pleasant area to enhance focus and attention to detail. Build an organized workspace by investing in quality furniture and hiding unnecessary clutter. Make it your own! Customize everything from the wall colors to the types of storage. Encourage your creativity, create a sense of cohesion, and make sure you feel calm and comfortable.”

Top Trending Office Wall Art
There’s nothing more astonishing and deeply inspiring than outer space. NASA recently released revolutionary images of deep space from the James Webb telescope. We’ve been lucky enough to have access to these high-quality images for print. Hang an image from this voyage into deep space over your workspace. A print of outer space will remind you that your problems are small in comparison to the incomprehensible size of our universe. Calm and ease your mind every time you look up at your whimsical print. Inspire yourself to achieve great things when you remember the privilege of being alive on this tiny planet. Paint an accent wall in a soft blue to emphasize the night sky. The benefit of a space-inspired piece of wall art is that it makes a major impact – which means you don’t need to invest in any other décor.

Productivity Meets Style
Steal inspiration from Scandinavian style when decorating your home office. Get rid of any items that don’t bring you joy, and marry functionality with flair. Your workspace should look light, bright, and unique to you! Avoid décor that is too distracting, but don’t be afraid to add a few splashes of vibrance here and there. After all, you have the distinct privilege of designing your own work environment. You might as well make it stylish!
Pro Tip: Beyond Office Wall Art
Elimar Lobo Sáenz (expert designer) shares her tips for creating an ideal office space:
“Form and Functionality shouldn’t be regarded as two separate concepts when designing. Both are equally important and must be considered in order to achieve a comfy working area.
Start by creating a space where you can focus and stay motivated. Your home office should be in an area where your productivity won’t be negatively affected either by distractions nor unhealthy conditions. A good location will help you with your workflow, and a well-lit space will give you peace of mind while you work.”
Consider using definition-themed wall art to give yourself an extra boost of motivation. ElephantStock's art director Tirzah Goodman highlights typography as a major trend for 2023.

Colors for Concentration
Studies show that light, matte colors help to increase creativity. Choose natural finishes like warm wood to bring a touch of nature into your space. Steal color inspiration from the great outdoors by experimenting with earthy neutrals like sage, lake blue, and brown. As we mentioned before, bright colors can also make your home office pop, but use them sparingly to avoid creating a visual distraction.

The Ideal Canvas Size
If you’ve already decided on your print, the next step is choosing the correct canvas size. Lucky for you, we have a whole page of general sizing rules to help you out. Here is a brief excerpt to give you the gist:
“Your wall art should take about 60% to 75% of the available empty wall space, the portion not covered by moldings or furniture. Measure the height and width of the wall. Now, multiply the measurements by both 0.6 and 0.75. As a result, you will get the range of canvas print sizes to suit the space.
For instance, if your blank wall is 9 feet tall and 5 feet wide, multiply 9 by 0.6 to get the low end of the ideal height range. Then multiply 9 by 0.75 to get the high end of the ideal height range. Do the same for your wall's 5 feet width. The ideal height of the canvas would be 5.4 - 6.75 and the ideal width would be 3 feet - 3.75 feet.”
Above Your Desk
If you’re looking to fill the space above your desk, you can apply these clever rules for how to hang wall art above pieces of furniture:
“Wall art that you want to hang over furniture, such as a fireplace, a bed or a couch, should be between 2/3 and 3/4 of the furniture's width. To measure the ideal art size above your furniture, consider this example: If your couch is 6 feet wide, multiply it by 0.66 and 0.75. You need a canvas between 3.96 feet and 4.5 feet wide to fit impressively above a large couch.”
Still unsure of sizing? Lightly mark your desired dimensions on your wall of choice so you can better visualize the artwork in your space. Remember, it’s always better to go too big than too small!
