Julia Purinton travells regularly from Washington DC to Vermont's Mad River Valley, frequently visiting the Pacific Northwest and the North Shore of Boston.

What inspires you most as an artist?
"What inspires me as an artist is the beauty and drama of the natural world."
When did you begin creating?
"I have loved to draw and paint since earliest childhood."
What is your life motto?
"No life motto, just gratitude for finding joy in small things."
If you weren't an artist, what would you be instead?
"If I weren't an artist, I would like to be a baker."
